DELHI, June 7

Miss Ida Dickinson, who is a prominent Bombay Social worker, has resigned from the Bombay- Legislative Council. This she has done as a protest against the Government’s “repressive measures.” She has refused to accept the Kaisar-i-Hind medal, which has been awarded to her in the last birthday honours.

TRIBESMEN BOMBED.

Alfridi raiders approached Peshawar cantonments, but Mohmand villagers refused to participate in an attack on the cantonments; A movable column'has marched out to deal with the raiders, who aro fuisconsed in gardens to the south’ of the city, and they sustained a. few casualties. INDIANS FIRED ON

Serious rioting has occurred at Balisai, in the Midnapore district, where the police were forced to fire on the mob, consisting of fifteen hundred. The crowd had collected to manufacture salt.

A police .party was attacked, near the village of DastuE Four constables were injured., They were stripped of their uniforms and arms. Two inspectors are believed -to-have been burned to death by an infuriated mob.

An armed police party, under Inspector-General Lowman, has gone to Mklapore from Calcutta.
