LONDON. May 31
The romance of Gretna Green may soon come under the Government axe. The Ministry is contemplating legislation against marriages being conducted by Scottish law officers, and is framing a Bill to meet the complaints of the "Church of Scotland and others regarding the ceremonies at the famous smithy.
