SYDNEY, June 1

A light aeroplane crashed from a height, of five hundred feet at Tamworth. Both the pilot, Frank Mitchell, aged thirty-five, and Harry West, a flying student were killed instantly. ,Mitehell was one of the best known aviators in Sydney. He was r (the phiefiriiecljanic of the Aero Club. ‘He was conducting a flying school for students at Tamworth, and had completed the acrobatics, when the sightseers were horror stricken to see the propellor of the plane become detached and wliizz through space. The propellor landed on a housetop. The machine went into a tail spin. Then it nose dived into the main street of Tamworth, where it was smashed to pieces. The occupants wero dreadfully injured.
