BREAK OUT AT RANGOON.

OVER FIFTY DEAD

(Received this day : at 9.40 a.m.) DELHI, May 27. . Savage rioting broke out'' at Rangoon this morning between Barman and Indian dock' COblies. The casualties are estimated at 50 dead and over 700 injured. '* ■ The Cameron Highlanders, who were called out, came into conflict with the rioters, and were immediately 'compelled to fire to disperse the mob. Troops at present’ are picketing the city with machine guns. Many bodies are said to have been thrown into the river. Terrible stories of atrocities to women and children are reported, and in one ease three Madrast men were seized by a gang of maddened Burmans and cut to pieces.
Jn other instance's there were small riots on which tile'police fired. The city is at present desolated. Mill*, bazaars and shops are closed, and all traffic is.at! a standstill.
