Colonel Tobin lias returned to Darjeeling. He is at present engaged in paying off three hundred of the foul hundred porters originally taken on the Kinchinjunga Expedition. He states that the Expedition has been delayed by the worst weather. He also states that the expedition has experienced til© untrustworthiness of the coolies over the' Kang and Margin Passes, and it was ultimately forced to abandon the journey and return to the base camp.
