(Received this day at 8 a.m.) DELHI, May 25. and Moslems broke out yesterday in be-Aous noting Lt tween Hindun Dacca, East Bengal. Over one hundred were injured. Tension which has bieen existing between the two communities-since Thursday, assumed a violent character ‘when a Moslem was found dead in the street. Coreligionists attacked Hindus fiercely, burned their temples and looted several shops and houses.

CALCUTTA, May 24

Mrs Nardu (wife of a Nationalist leader) has. been sentenced to nine months’; simple imprisonment. Gandhi’s son has been sentenced to one year’s rigorous imprisonment. The salt war at the Dharasatea mines, for the time being, is over. There are only about eighty of the volunteers left in the camp there.

Two big football matches in Calcutta to-day could not be played. Thousands of pe'opib packed the grounds to witness the game Calcutta against Mo bun Bagan, and Dalhousie against the Aryans team. The teams were preparing when lorry loads of women arrived. All the women lay down in front of the tents, thus preventing the players gaining egress. This curious action was in retaliation for Mrs Nardu’s imprisonment.
