LONDON NAVAL TREATY

WASHINGTON, May 20
Admiral I’ingle, President of the Naval War College, testifying before the Senate of Naval Affairs Committee, said he disapproved of the alteration of relative naval strength between the United States and ‘Japan as proposed by the London Treaty as lessening American chances of operating successfully the campaign. He also said lie could not ‘ agree to the terms with regard to cruiser strength, and that all available tonnage in that class should have eight inch guns.
