CANCER FUND
MEDICAL AIEN APPEAL FOR HELP.
MORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR RESEARCH.
AVe, the uiiuersigned medical practitioners of Christchurch, appeal to our fellow citizens for their help in our campaign against cancer.
fine medical men throughout the whole world are greatly concerned about the increase of this malignant disease and it is now felt that an Em-pire-wide i effort must be made to discover the' cause and investigate means for its prevention and the cure. .
AVe require more opportunities for research into the cause and more supplies of radium to assist the cure of cancer.
We know in New Zealand 'there is a great field for research, and to cany this out it is absolutely necessary to have financial assistance.
Radium has brought to us a new era of hope, and already this wonderful element has brought relief and cure to many.
All over the world, incessant research is bringing us nearer to the discovery of the cause of cancer, but without the help of our fellow citizens we are sadly handicapped in tiiis country. We appeal to everyone. To those who are themselves in good health, we ask for their consideration of the sufferings of those who have fallen victims of this disease. AVe ask everyone to consider that we are working hot only for the present generation, but for those who will follow us, and who must in their turn face this serious problem unless we can win a victory in our present campaign.
AVe ask you to help us in our efforts to lift a great burden from the shoulders of humanity in the future and to relieve those who are at present sufferers from this malignant enemy. Any help that you feel that you can give will be gratefully accepted, and should be sent to:
