SHIP’S THRILLING EXPERIENCE

The motor vessel Beulah (Captain Hart), arrived at Apia to-day and she reports having niT a .unique > and thrilling experience when three days out from fean Francisco.
At .seven o’clock on the morning of April 25th. the vessel suddenly listed to port, and lay on her beam ends for fifteen minutes. Her deck cargo, five motor cars, drums of oil, kerosene and the ship’s motor boat shifted to port. It became necessary to cut the lashings so as to save the vessel. When the cargo went overboard, the vessel righted, and she swung over to starboard, and lay again on her beam ends for several minutes. Eventually she righted herself, this being due to the cargo being trimmed. No lives were iosi.
