FINE DAIRY EXHIBITS.

The Southland A, and P ( . Association’s winter show opened to-day, The display being classed as !he (icest ever staged in Southland, The general quality of the exhibits of produce is perhaps of a higher standard than that of the shows of recent years and the display is fully worthy of the province’s great records for productivity. In view of the outstanding successes of the Soutnlund factories at the Loudon dairy shows, considerable interest was shown in the butter and cheese classes, the quality of the winning exhibits being very high'. The most successful competitor was the Awarpa factory, which secured the championship for most points, winning in three classes* gaining second Jjlacp in two and third in the South Island championship class, which Was -won by the Fairfax factory.
