FOOTBALL
ENGLISH TEAM ARRIVING

WELLINGTON, May 13
The Rangitata with the English footballers, which it was at first announced would not arrive here till late to-morrow, is now expected at 9 a.m. The civic reception will be at 5 a.m. Hr G. J. Adams (president of the New Zealand Union) will meet the British Team. Their programme is to go to Wanganui on Friday, attend the Winter race meeting on Saturday, go for a trip up the river on Tuesday, play on Wednesday, and leave for New Plymouth on Thursday. Indications are that the largest crowd the city has known at football will be at Wanganui for the match. Public interest has never been so keen.
