■ Mr D. Morgan, of Rostrevor Street, Hamilton, has cultivated on American strawberry plant which for the last five months has been bearing prolifically. Every day some ripe fruit is ready, and on one occasion a whole chipful was taken from the plant. The fruit is somewhat different from the usual variety, in that it has a smooth skin, but the flavour is unmistakable.
