AUCKLAND, May 8,

In a statement telephoned from Rotorua., the Premier, (Sir J. Ward, slates he received a. cable from the High Commissioner, 51 r T. W. Wilford, reading: The total applications for the London Loan were 11.852 aggregating £19,577,5C0. Stock allottments have been made as follows— (j) Applicants for £IOO received nil. (2) £2OO up To £SOO received £IOO and (3) over £SOO received iust under thirty per cent.

Dealings commenced on the Stock Exchange this morning (7th May) opening about £9B 17s (id to £OO and closing this afternoon about £9O.
