Forest fires continue to range widely in the State of New Jersey, where ra«it is still being awaited hopelessly. Military pu’e out fighting the flames, and,.the,,.Red Cross is aiding thousands of the homeless victims.

There are also fires, which are proving dangerous, in the vicinity of Portland., in the State of Maine, where a force of fire fighters is attempting to save’the oily of Portland’s power house from the fire.
