WELLINGTON, May 5
Wellington trams show a profit Tor the year of £15,667, and the buses show a loss of £14,628, thus leaving a net profit of £1,039. One result is that me City Council is considering a reduction in the Sunday trams and buses, the traffic on that day being much affected by an increase In private cars. The. (passengers by {tram were 46,581,456, an increase of 836.496; and the passengers by bus were 1,285,915, a decrease of 20.968. The Electricity Department shows a profit of £59,395, and the Council has decided to reduce the tariff by'£l,6oo. in addition to reductions of £25,000 made in January.
