. Practically the whole of Pen Lomond, including the peak itself and all of the approaches from Loch Lomond, is about to bo auctioned. This historic spot is a pai-t of the estate of the Duke of Montrose. The Duke states that he is compelled owing to death duties and heavy taxation, to part with these lands, which have been the heritage of his family for centuries. i ,
