All nia tit re street lock-ups, known as pill-boxes, similar to those used in London are to be erected in the streets at Darlinghurst, Surrey Hills ind AA’oolloomoolloo. These will be made of solid concrete, and serve as temporary lock-ups and telephone bureau for summoning police aid.

Horace Walpole, aged : 3G, a eardriver. was found murdered in his ear between QueeiisclifF and Geelong. He was a well-known figure on the taxi ranks at Geelong. .
Walpole received an engagement Fast night. Since then he had boon missing. He was shot from behind. There was a bullet in the head. The body was cove reef with a rug. Robbery was not the motive as money was found in the pockets'.
