SYDNEY, -April 29,

The Stock Exchange at Sydney reopened after the Easter vacation. The turnover was moderate, hut there was a steadier tone.

Much interest was created on the Commonwealth loans, in which a general advance beyond the amount ol the accrued interest occurred.

The possibility was freely discussed of a" reduction in the interest rate on Government Securities and also of a new Commonwealth' loan being offeree to yield a fraction, below six per cent.

'The improvement in the wool market and the rains in the parched areas have produced a feeling ol greatei optimism.
