MAIL BAGS STOLEN

SYDNEY, April 29

The Postal Department here advises that bags of mail matter from Glasgow- and Manchester that were received by the liner “Mooltan” now in Sydney, were pillaged in transit. The bags contained a number of registered articles which are missing.

It is reported from Perth, that a registered mail bag has been stolen from tne liner “Chitral” now en roir*e to Sydney, while the list of the' consignees is also missing so that it will be difficult to trace the senders.
