For .March supply the Cambridge Dairy Company will pay out £23,020, the basis of payment being Is 3d per lb. huterfat for cheese and Is for butter, compared with Is 4-ijd and Is 3-j<l respectively for March last year, when (lie cheque for that period was £16,700. For tiro season to date the company has paid out a lota! of £237,560 compared with £217,740 for the same period last year.

A week ago the Kia Ora Co-onerative Dairy Co. Ltd., announced that the cheques would be paid this month to supplies for March. Buttcrfat would he larger than for the corresponding period last year, when advances were on a substnnthiallv higher basis. Now it is stated that the advance for last month’s butterfat is to be on a basis of Is per lb., the lowest rate sirre the Control Board crisis, but the total payments will reach £11.935 10s. Cheques paid out last April were at the rate of Is 3d per lb., and totalled £10,688 4s sd. The increase in supplies last month, compared with those of March last year, was responsible for distribution of an amount more than enough to offset the low values ruling for butter.

All Saints Choir will render the Ap/,tic Anthem at the concert at Princess Theatre on Friday night. Thi« anthem was composed in Auckland athe request of the Archbishop of New Zealand, who thought (here should ne some distinctive music from New Zealand in relation to the commemoration of the special occasion. The death took place yesterday afternoon at her residence Park St. of Ai rs Ellon Walsh, widow ,of the late Mr James Wat Iv, both well-known settlers of South Westland.
