WELLINGTON, April 22. The general situation of the cyclone mentioned in yesterday’s notes passed the northern extremity of the Dominion last night. A second one m now centred east of Norfolk island, but is unlikely to affect our weather greatly. A moderate anti-cyclone is moving on to the Dominion. The forecast was for winds southerly to south-easterly, light to moderate mainly, but fresh about East Cape and in the far north sea ol New Zealand waters. Smooth to moderate Tasman Sea, moderate south to south-east winds and smooth to moderate seas.
in the Eastern Tasman, the weather is improving, and for the most pait fair, hut still some scattered showers, especially on the East Coast of the North island. The temperature will he cooler.
The indications are for variable and moderate breezes, easterly prevailing. There is a prospect of fair weather. The night will probably be very cold with frosts inland. Barometer falling slowly shortly. Seas moderate, tides poor. J
