WEDDING BELLS

A very pretty wedding took place ait the Presbyterian Church, Kokatahi yesterday afternoon, which was decorated for the occasion with autumn leaves when Rev. J. W. Hayward united Air Lewis A. Lyons, of the Rank of New Zealand,' Invercargill, fourth son of Air B. Lyons, formerly of Stafford, and now of Wellington, to Ernestine, eldest daughter Air and Airs .7. W. Kelly, of Kokatahi. The church was crowded with friends of the happ> couple, and Airs AlcGee presided at the organ. The bride entered the church on she arm /of her father looking charming in a pale pink georgette frock with handsome veil of tulle and carried a pretty bouquet. She was attended by her sister, Hilda, who wore a pretty green georgette frock with helmet to tone, and carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums. The bridegroom was attended by ids brother, All D. SLyons, of Wellington. After the ceremony the parents of the bride entertained a large number of guests at their home. A special feature was a very handsome wedding cake, the won; and gift of Airs T. Ecclesfield. The usual toasts were honored, a very pleasant couple of hours being spent. . 1 he happy couple who were the recipients o £ a large number of valuable presents left later for Greymouth and Haumer where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride’s going away dre*s was a biscuit wine jumper suit with hat to matoh.
