WELLINGTON, April 19

Internal borrowing, it is stated, will be the subject of an important reference by the Prime Minister, Sir Joseph Ward, in the course of bis review of the country’s finances, which is now to be delivered on Wednesday or Thursday.

Reference may also be made to the Dominion’s next oversea loan for which it is believed the London money market will be approached next | month.

Other matters of interest outside the actual result of the public accounts for the year will also he dealt with.

In addition to announcing a small surplus, which has been the outcome of the year’s operations, the Prime ■Minister will supply figures showing that for the period the State Advances Department has established a record in the number of loans granted for home building. Dealing with Customs figures Sir Joseph Ward may disclose the intentions of the (Government regarding the removal of additional one per cent primage on imports other than now exempted on foodstuffs and fertilisers. The unemployment position will also be dealt with.
