MOA BONES

TAIHAPE, April 16,

A valuable find of moa bones, eggshells and young skeletons, was made in rough country at the hack of Aloawhango on Saturday by Riu Batloy, 'Bernard Daws and Charlie Logan. They were dug out of loose lime stone in a crevice off a Tomo (pot hole). r .l he largest skeleton is complete except lor one bone of a- foe. A head, spade shaped, with a beak is another discovery. COURT' SENTENCES

BLENHEIM, April 16

In the Magistrate's Court to-day, Daniel Greed on was charged with negligently riding a- motor cycle, and was admitted to probation for twelve months. His license was suspended, and ho was disqualified for securing another for three years.

George Roy Gill admitted a charge of being drunk in charge of a motor car. He was admitted to probation for twelve months. His license was cancelled and he was disqualified for twelve months.

March Giles, on a charge of being drunk in charge of a motor car was admitted to probation for two years and his driver’s license was cancelled and he was disqualified for two years. For using indecent language accused was fined £3 and costs.

AN INJUNCTION

DUNEDIN, April 16

An application for an injunction restraining Dunedin Speedways from carrying on, on the ground that the noise of motor cycles and broadsiding created a nuisance, was heard yesterday and this morning by Justice Kennedy. After only a partial hearing it was announced that defendants had consented to an injunction, a proviso agreed to being that broadsiding Tie permitted once weekly, each Saturday from November Ist. to March 31st.
