PERTH, April 14

The Labour Party has been defeated in Western Australia. The latest counting gives the combined antiLabour forces at least 26 seats. The state of parties is as follows: Labour 22 Nationalist ....< 17 Country Party 9 Independent Country 1 Doubtful 1 Air Thomson (leader of the Country Party) lost Katanning seat. Collier administration had been in power for 6 years. This is the fourth Australian Government to be turned out of office since the Bruce-Page Federal Government failed on the Arbitration issue, less than six months ago. Victorian and South Australian treasury benches were lost to Labour.
