The Graziers’ Conference to-day passed a resolution favouring a preference to railway transport for farmers’ goods and produce as against motor carriage, but the Conference will suggest lower freights cm wool and live stock.

SYDNEY, April 12
At Rooty Hills, in the New South Wales Derby (winner £l7O, runner-up £54) in the deciding course, C. N. Hlaitwelil’s dog Returned, bent Miss Sidell’s Rose View, and won the event. The latter obtained the lead, but Returned overtook him and reached the hare by a length and killed it. For the Woodstock Cup (winner £75. runner,up £25) in the deciding course. T. A. Williams’ Hadrian beat A. Carter’s Cinbon and won.
