Airman Alajor Gran who was a member of Scott’s PRO Expedition, is planning an attempt to reach the South Pole by motor cycle, ac ompanied by three companions. He proposes to lly from Granite Bay, Ross Sea to the plateau, and thence pro eed by motor cycles, each towing a sledge carrying provisions.

Board of Trade returns show imports decreased by £5,153,000, exports by £4,677,000, re-exports by £2,326,000. The principal decreases of imports were food, grain flour £761.000, food and drink non-dutiable £2,367,000, dutiable £723,000, raw cotton £3,911,000, oil and seeds £1,045,000. Exports—Raw wool £419,000, cotton yarns and manufactures £2.586,000, woollen yarns and manufactures £898,000.

Increases of imports, meat £1,068,090 wood and timber £464.000 iron and steel manufactures £615,000.
