LICENSING LAW DECISION
AUCKLAND, April 10
Mr Justice Herdman to-day delivered his decision that the Marsclen Incensing Committee had- no jurisdiction to issue a publican’s license for the Kamo Springs Hotel. He declared that tho license was not renewed in 1917 and when granted in June, 1929, it had boon dead for twelve years. Dealing with the argument that the law permits resurrection of the license, the Judge said the proceedings might he taken at the first annual meeting after forfeiture or nonronewal but in this ease- that time had long expired. He therefore granted the application made by two electors of Marsden for a writ of certiorari to quash the committee's certificate.
