It is claimed by plaintiff thai while proceeding, on a motor cycle tc defendants workshop, in accordance with their orders, her husband was struck by al train engine and fatally injured and that the accident rose in tfie course of bis employment. De-: fend ants contend the accident did not happen in die course of his employment.
'ine non-suit point raised by the defence was dismissed by the Bench, who held the deceased was employed immediately he went out of the house travelling to the factory being part of the work. Judgment was given plaintiff for the full amount and costs.

For failing to publish in an adver..sement of the film “Flight,” the recommendation by the censor that it was more suitable for adult audiences, Herbert Gladstone Hill, Manager of tne Civic Theatre was fined £1 and costs It'was the first case of the kind heard in New Zealand, The Magistrate said defendant- had evidently committed the breach as a protest against the censor’s recommendation, Hill considering the. film -was suitable for children. 4'

DUNEDIN, April 9. At a meeting of the Otago Officers’ Club at which public body representatives were present, it was resolved that the meeting views with grave concern the situation in regard to national . defence, as repotted in the press,, and urges upon the Premier the danger, of disruptive, action, and the necessity, of full investigation and consideration before taking action.
