WASHINGTON,'ApriI o. President- Hoover has • announced that the Treasury _ reports [indicate that the income taxes‘of the Corporations that are being- collected for the fiscal year 1930 will' .pot, fall below the 1929 collections] while .'the individual income taxes will exceed those that were last collected.
The President stated’: “This result' is most gratifying and it indicates that' the "’unfortunate developments 'of last fall did not affect I 'individual incomes to the extent that many had feared, nor did they prevent the corporations from reporting substantially higher net incomes.’’ I ‘ i; President Hoover stressed import-' anCe of continued economy arid he ha® ■ authorised a 375 million construction bill, which will provide work for 125,000 men at once. ‘
HUGE POWER PLANT.
