SUCCESSFUL TESTS. (By Telegraph—Pres* Association). WHAKATANE, April 3. Successful flights were made yesterday by a youth, John Allison, in a monoplane built by him. He made four, flights and reached an altitude of 2COO feet and flew in all about sixty miles. He effected perfect landings, the machine behaving well throughout. It is claimed to be the first successful flight in a New Zealand built plane.
