Their monoplane has been left behind. PIPER AND KAYE. SYDNEY, April 1. Piper and Kaye effected repairs and then they returned to Longreacb. They are leaving there to-morrow for Narromine. They now expect to arrive at Sydney on Thursday. THE TREKKING FLYERS. i (Received this day at 9.40 a.ra.) SYDNEY, April 2. 'All yesterday Smith and Shiers. with a' police party, trekked towards Wyndhani'bver a hazardous track, in terrific heat, to the ’same spot where The City of Sydney was forced down. The party had to traverse 110 miles, i'nfdudiing. ivetn.y detours, owing to the roughness of' the territory. The\ travelled by truck, car and horseback and in some places on foot, and were expected to arrive at Wvndlmm at six o’clock last night, but no word of their arrival had been received in Sydney early this morning.
