A LAKE DISASTER
NINE NOTABLES DROWNED. (Australian Press Association) this day at 8.30. a.m.) BELGRADE, March. 31. When the engine of a pleasure launch failed in a storm on Lake Ochrida, nine occupants who tried to swim ashore were drowned, including two diplomats, a military governoi and three women. All who remained on the launch were saved including the Secretary of Yugo-Slav Foreign Office, who tried to jump overboard but was' held fast by • a projecting hook penetrating his trousers.
