GALLANT RESCUERS FAIL ALL ABOARD •PUDISH. LONDON, April 1 Seven men lashed to the rigging of Hie trawler Bendoran, ashore at Sker i-levleek, Shetland Islands, watched the trawler Aurora approach within a quarter of a mile and be beaten back by muM LvainJ.i-i seas breaking over sunken reefs.

A fishing boat, manned by volunteer rescuers made gallant efforts to get a line aboard and were also driven off. Heroic rescue attempts were continued for thirty hours. Two of the shipwrecked men were washed away and later the trawlers reported the Bendoran had broken up and disnppeaied. It is feared all on board had perished.
