AUCKLAND, March 20

Mr H. R, Jenkins, who resigned the Parnell seat in the House of Representatives, intends to join the Reform League. He has intimated his willingness to abide by the result of a ballot bv which the official Reform candidate will 'be selected.

Thus, if Mr Jenkins is not chosen as the official Reform candidate by a conference of delegates to bo convened for that purpose, ‘he will not oe a candidate at the bye-election. All the Parties are actively preparing. Although many names are menti n d, no candidates are selected yet.
