WESTPORT, March 25

Hon. P. A. de la Perrelle, Minister for Internal Affairs, Health and Tourist Resorts, arrived from Greymouth to-day, coming via the coastal road, and being held up for an hour through the Ministerial car being caught in the unbridged Fox’s River, which was in partial flood.

This evening the Afinister was accorded a civic reception, the Afayor (Air Harkness) and Mr H. E. Holland, Ai.P., 1 being the principal speakers. Several deputations were heard. The Minister makes a tour of the district to-morrow.
