KELLER CHALLENGE MATCH,

Kanieri played their return match in the above competition on March 16th. against the Rimu Club, and after a very keen game and exciting finish, suceeded in winning the cup for the third time in succession.

Kanieri improved in the second innings and their policy was to score quickly. C.. Fleming was caught at 44 and W. Owens (not out) 10, making a total of 70 when' the innings was declared for o wickets.

Duly an hour remained when Rimu commenced their second innings, but the 'splendid bowling of C. Fleming, 6 for 14, and E. Stoop 2 for 0, finished the match with only five minutes to spare from time. Rimu 38. Kanieri thus won the trophy for the third time by 18 runs.

The following players have been selected to represent the Southern SubUnion in the representative cricket match to lie played at Greymouth on the Recreation Ground on Sunday, March' 23rd. 1930. Play commences at 11 a.m. sharp. Whitehead, Duridas, Ainger (Ruatapu)Mora, Goode, Williams (Hokitika) ; Morris, H. Wells, Fleming, 0. (Kanieril; Griffith, Ogilvie (Rimu). Emerg: J. O’Connor, S. Fleming and Adamson. Any member unable to play please notify the Secretary of the SubUnion immediately. Keenan’s bus will leave Rimu at 8 a.m. sharp.
