According to Japanese messages from Tientsin, the threatened war promises to be the most serious China has experienced. Announcing mobilisation en masse, Shansi, Kuominchun and Kuangsi reports emphasise definitely the anti-Chang movement is thoroughly .organised, compared with previous ventures. Rebel, leaders are convinced that previous failures were due to looseness of organisation and they have (.pent .the last month in .tightening internal bonds.
Consequently,. it is expected the worst war fought in the history of the [Republic is about to commence. It is 3ipt. expected,.,/ however, that major •clashes will occur immediately, because the contending / forces are still some distauce apart, and' both are still endemcuring to offer sufficient iridHeementfr to Ohang'me’iliang to *ome south of the Great Wall.
