In the House of Commons, Admiral Beamish asked what was the total tonnage of the warship construction cancelled since June Ist Z92S, by each of the five Powers engaged at the Naval Conference.

lit; Hon Mr Alexander (First Lord of the Admiralty) replied that 66,000 tons'had been cancelled by the British Government, but no tonnage, so far as he was aware, had been cancelled by the other Powers.
