MATRON DUNSFORD

presentation on retirement

WESTPORT, March 13

At a public gathering tills evening (presided over by the Mayor, Mr Harkness) Miss Dunsford, on retiring from the position of Matron of the Buller Hospital, which position she has held for 20 years, was made the recipient of a presentation which took the form of a cheque for £3OO. Tributes were paid to Miss Dunsford’s good services by the Moyar, Mr Harkness, and by Mr H. E. Holland, M.P. The presentation was made by Airs Harkness.

Dr. Foote, the Medical Superintendent, replied on Miss Dunsford’s behalf. Miss Wright, of Invercargill, has taken up duty as the successor of Miss Dunsford.
