THOUGHTS FOR THE TIMES.
VALUE OF TEAM WORK
While 1?;nr-Admiral Byrd is warmly to lie congratulated on the favourable issue of his dash to the pole, it must be remembered that the success of the expedition depended in very large measure on the devotion and enthusiasm- of those associated with him. Theirs is a record of achievement that will stir men’s hearts in generations to come, a- narrative of endurance and courage from which the name of the humblest participant will never he expunged. —Otago Daily Times.
