Restriction of credit for Australians travelling overseas has hud no appreciable effect on the number sailing in the immediate future, but the general opinion is that a decline must set in shortly. The tourist season is now at its height and it is common knowledge that some shipping companies are assisting travellers in their financial arrangements, rather than lose the tourist business. The companies concerned accent m Australian notes limited to a few hundred sterling, from clients, and issue a receipt payable at the other end. The usual charge
