LONDON, March 7

Mr Mac Milan, who investigated the woollen industry, recommends.wage reductions'. There are two hundred thousand woollen operatives affected by Mr MacMillan’s findings. They are (utterly disappointed. Mr Mat-Mill an explains lie readied his decision with regret, but he regards it as inevitable that the financial position of the industry will become worse than during the past five years. At present it was most satisfactory, if not actually dangerous. Mr Shaw, the Union Secretary, explains that the recommendations mean that male workers will suffer a weekly wage reduction of Old to 49s 9d; and females one of 36d to 29s 3d; piece workers of 44d to 38s. The union executives met and adjourned to the tenth of March.
