WHEAT MARKET IMPROVES.

Gains of one and a quarter to one and five-eighths cents in wheat followed the two cent break to-day, the first advance since Friday on word that Senator Nye, of North Dakato, had prop ned the United States Government should make a gift of twen-ty-live million dollars worth of grain to hungry China. The Senate Agriculture Committee to-day decided to seek the advice of John McMurra.y, former Minister in China and John Payne, Chairman of the Red Cross regarding the proposal. .

EMBEZZLEMENT CHARG E
SAN FRANCISCO, March 5
George Koyston, President ol the Frisco Stock Exchange was arrested with eight others for conspiracy and embezzlement of one hundred thousand sterling from the Bank of Italy. Joseph Bray (Manager of the Branch of the Bank of Italy) is specifically charged with taking the funds, while Ke.yston’s firm handled his account in dummy names. Bray was caught in the October crash and lost a million dollars.

Three million unemployed make a huge unemployment problem in the United States, said Secretary Davis, accusing tbe Senate of delaying the Tariff Measure, which would improve conditions in United States.
