The following team will represent Hokitika in their match with Kanieri, at Kanieri on Sunday next. With a view to encouraging cricket amongst ' the younger enthusiasts of the ton;a Messrs J. Turner and A. Thomas presented trophies amongst the Marquis of Lome Cricket Club. The winner for the most improved player of the team proved to be N. Perrin, his trophy being a bat presented by Arthur Thomas; the bestbatsman'. G. Stapleton; howler, M. IMorgan : and fieldsman, I>. Moynihan, won the prizes presented by Air Turner, which were medals suitably ■ in-y scribed.
