;By Telegraph—Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, March 3. The ‘profesional golf tournament was continued to-day. The weather was line in the morning, but the afternoon was misty, drizzling rain slowing the pace of the greens, making putting difficult. To-day the first two rounds of tlie championship, which is decided on 72 holes of medal play, were played. and concurrently were played two rounds of the Myers Cup, awarded on 36 holes of medal play. • Shaw (68) made a new record for the course. In the morning the best scores were; Shaw 68—72 —110: Alclntosh 71—75—146; Branch 74—78—148; C. ,C.'.Clements 74—74 —148; J. A. Clements 78—76 —154; \ Butters v 80—74 .154; Blair .72—77—159. The winner of the stroke match of 36 holes was F. Branch 140 net. Shaw’s score (handicap plus three) was 146. SYDNEY, March 2.
