The statement that Mr Lloyd George is considering his resignation from the Liberal Partys leadership is entirely unauthorised. RESIGNATIONS IN THE AXIL LONDON, March 1. The “Daily News” says there is now reason to believe that, in conse--quence of the attitude of certain of the Liberals on the Coal Bill durine! the debate of February 27th, that Mr Lloyd George is considering resigning the leaderershipi of the Liberal Party at its meeting on March 4th. He has consulted the leading members of the Party.' • Sir Robert Hutchinson, the Chief Whip of the Party, is also understood to he contemplating resignation. The members of the Liberal “Shadow Cabinet” declare that those Liberals "'ho voted with the Government have provoked a first-class crisis. Sir W. Edge’s resignation from the Party on February ‘27t!i is being considered at Tuesday’s Party meeting. WHIP’S RESIGNATION MADE. LONDON, March 1. Mr Lloyd George Inis accepted the resignation of the Liberal Whip, Sir William Edge.
