At the Band Contest the A Grade second test selection resulted:— Timaru Municipal 137pts 1; Woolston 133pts, 2; St Kilda 126pts 3; Wellinging Municipal Tramways 12opts, 4. Also competed : —Queen Alexandra’s Owp TVanganui 125, Port Nicholson 119, Kaikorai 114, Palmerston North 108. The aggregate result is as follows Woolston 266pts 1; Timaru Municipal 262pts 2; Wellington Municipal Tramways 260pts, 3; Port Nicholson 258pts, 4; Queen Alexandra’s Own and St. Kilda, 253pts (equal) 5; Kaikorai 243pts, 7; Palmerston North, 229pts, 8. The aggregate points in two Hymn Tests played by A. Grade hands are as follows:—Woolston 177, Kaikorai 174, St. Kilda. 173, Queen Alexandra’s Own 171, Timaru Municipal 170, Wellington Municipal Tramways and Port Nicholson 167 (equal) Palmerston North 160. The points in the Hymn Test count for the Conn Shield. At the Band Contest the results of the Flugel Horn Solo (“Songs Without Words” by Mendellsolion) were:—S. Lowry (St. Kilda) 96 points 1; E.
