A Winnipeg messages states, the Sister Superior, Sister Margaret and nine Indian children perished when a re destroyed an Indian girls’ school at an isolated outpost at Crosslake, Manitoba. Sister Jeanne Deschantel leaped from the second floor window and broke her spine. The Sister Superior, Sister Maragaret died while attemptinf; to save the children. She heroically remained endeavouring to lead the victims who were all under nine years of age, through the flames. A hundred escaped. The biship is flying to the spot hv aeroplane. The building was valued at two thousand dollars.
