Albs L. Hamilton, of Oamaru, accompanied by Gu.dc-s Alack and \Yii r liams, reached the summit of Mount took on .Saturday, after being delayed at tlie hivouae for several days by bad weather. 'I bey returned to the Hermitage in the face of a heavy rainstorm.
This was the first attempt of the season. Aliss Hamilton waited without avail earlier ill the summer for six days at Haast Hut. on the eastern side ot Alt. Cook, and looked down 011 the rescue party bringing in the victims of last month’s tragedy. ,
